Restoring Streaks: Duolingo's New Feature
Duolingo Will Let Users Restore Lost Streaks for a Limited Time
Duolingo has announced a new feature that could be welcome news for millions of users who have lost a learning streak after months—or even years—of dedication.
Throughout the month of June, the platform will allow users to recover lost streaks and restore the longest streak they previously achieved within the app.
In Duolingo, a streak represents the number of consecutive days a user completes learning activities. It has become one of the company’s most powerful tools for encouraging consistency and daily engagement.
The special campaign will run from June 1 through June 30.
To recover a lost streak, users simply need to complete three lessons in a row during a single session. The feature will be available to accounts that previously reached streaks of at least 30 days.
According to Duolingo, participation is entirely optional and can be activated when starting a lesson during the promotional period.
The initiative serves as a second chance for users who lost long-running streaks due to travel, personal circumstances, forgotten lessons, or simply taking a break from the app.
Over the years, Duolingo has transformed streaks into one of its most recognizable features, creating a strong sense of commitment and motivation among learners.
Now, for the first time, many users will have the opportunity to reclaim records that once seemed lost forever.
